Pasturas Los Alazanes would like to introduce our new Purina Lifestyle Production Specialist with Purina Animal Nutrition. Haylee Lavoie has recently moved to the area to specialize in working with our equine customers for the Pasturas Los Alazanes.
Haylee grew up farming and ranching in central Wyoming. After high school, Haylee double majored at Laramie County Community College in Equine Science and Equine Training and Management. She then transferred to New Mexico State University to finish her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science while competing in collegiate horse judging and ranch horse versatility shows.
Upon graduation, an opportunity to coach a horse judging team and assist in teaching equine science at a University arose and Haylee transferred to the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. During her time at UNL, she taught equine and animal science lab courses and coached the UNL Horse Judging team. She also completed a master’s degree in Equine Nutrition with a minor in Agriculture Education.
Throughout her educational experiences, Haylee has worked for multiple reining and cow horse trainers and managed boarding facilities in Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, and Nebraska. Haylee’s passions are teaching equine science, judging horse shows, giving riding lessons, training and showing reining horses, and enjoying the outdoors.
We are excited to bring her diverse experience within the equine industry to benefit our customers. If you have any nutritional questions you can contact Haylee at 307-840-4498 or message us on our Facebook page.
